Human is indeed the most important asset of the company. However, until now we are difficult
to calculate exactly how the "strength" actually owned an employee. Unlike machines that we
can clearly measure its production capacity, we realize that employee performance and
contribution can be boosted up, can also go down sharply.
Are not many employees in the assessment judged to be highly competent, but in the workplace sluggish and not at all stand out?
There are employees who excel in one team, but once transferred to a team or other location
directly sag their performance. Instead, we also see there are small teams or individual ability
mediocre, could be a very great team and productive, even beat a larger team.
Here we clearly see that there are other "forces" that can not be seen and measured by workload analysis. It is also proven that individual power can indeed be multiplied.
A branch manager who is required to increase sales often argues for lack of people and asks for
additional team members. It often happens, if the person already exists, but still sales do not
move to reach the target. Human Resources Division often complained, why the existing human resources can not be utilized. As if the addition of new employees becomes a futile investment.
Thus, the individual alone can not produce anything extraordinary. Again, we are reminded that what we are working on is not always individually but rather the collective behavior of a group of people.
